2020 May 4th Youth Day Outdoor Team-Building Activity
To enhance communication, interaction, and collaboration among the company’s young employees, strengthen team cohesion, boost work efficiency and enthusiasm, and at the same time experience the company’s positive and uplifting corporate culture, the company specially organized an outdoor team-building exercise on May 4—the Youth Day—which carries special significance, allowing everyone to feel the company’s care and attention toward its young employees.

Siming Mountain, Danshan, and Chishui Scenic Area in Yuyao City
The scenic area is anchored by its canyon landscapes and enriched by Taoist culture and the charm of ancient villages in eastern Zhejiang. It features spectacular sheer cliffs, bizarre rock formations, historic bridges, flowing streams, and cascading waterfalls. With a breathtaking array of peaks vying for beauty, towering ancient trees, bamboo and woods that shade the sun, and gently babbling brooks, this place offers an exceptional eco-tourism destination where visitors can immerse themselves in natural scenery, soak up historical and cultural heritage, savor the rustic charm of mountain villages, and enjoy leisure, recreation, and vacationing.
Shilin Village is surrounded by mountains on all sides, with lush bamboo groves and forests covering the slopes. Crystal-clear springs murmur softly, and birds sing sweetly amid fragrant flowers. Not only are the landscapes beautifully picturesque, but the village also retains its pristine, ancient charm. The original character of this mountain dwelling has been perfectly preserved.

After a brief warm-up, everyone quickly completed the ice-breaking group assignments. Team members soon became familiar with one another, and even colleagues who usually don’t work in the same department and rarely interacted before were chatting and laughing together, fully experiencing the fun of the activity.

The morning activity was called “Exploring the Ancient Village.” The three small teams each received task cards and maps from their coaches. Under the guidance of their respective team captains, they set off on their exploration journey. At first, the team members could still spot each other along the way, but gradually the distances between them grew wider. As they enjoyed the scenic views along the route, they also successfully completed their exploration tasks.

For lunch, we enjoyed an authentic farm-to-table dining experience within the scenic area, savoring the warm hospitality of the local residents. After a brief rest, we embarked on the highlight of this team-building exercise—the grand canyon trek.
Amid laughter and cheerful chatter, we arrived at the Ninth Cave Canyon—where the journey of crossing the terrain began. After listening carefully to the coach’s safety instructions and making sure everyone had put on the proper protective gear, our thrilling and exhilarating adventure was about to start! We’ll be climbing sheer cliffs, traversing lush forests, crossing narrow mountain streams, and walking across serene plateau lakes—moving gracefully along cliffside paths and weaving through valleys, forests, and crystal-clear springs.
This is a challenge to both physical endurance and mental fortitude—some people overcome their fear of heights and glide down the cableway, while others push through extreme physical exhaustion to complete each of the events.
There are pranks here—some people deliberately shake things up to make the challenge more intense and fun. But at critical moments, cooperation takes center stage: those in better physical shape support their weaker teammates, helping them overcome obstacles and conquer their own limits. In the end, no one is left behind, and everyone successfully completes each of the challenges.
