According to statistics from the National Health Commission, from 0:00 to 24:00 on February 11, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 2,015 newly confirmed cases (1,638 in Hubei), 871 newly severe cases (897 in Hubei), 97 newly reported deaths (94 in Hubei Province, and 1 each in Henan, Hunan, and Chongqing), 744 newly discharged cured cases (417 in Hubei), and 3,342 newly suspected cases (1,685 in Hubei).

Immediately after the outbreak, the company issued a notice calling on all Party members and cadres to set an example and take the lead in the fight against the novel coronavirus, working alongside all sectors of society to win the battle against the epidemic! At the same time, the company swiftly established a pandemic prevention and control leading group headed by Chairman Chen Yinhao, mobilizing Party members and cadres to join the frontline of epidemic prevention and control efforts.

I. Conduct a comprehensive survey

Leaders of all departments have proactively taken on the responsibility of conducting personnel surveys within their respective departments. In particular, the HR department has responded positively to the heavy workload and tight deadlines by dynamically monitoring personnel information, ensuring that no gaps or blind spots are left unattended. A comprehensive survey and organization of all employees’ circumstances have been carried out. For employees from other regions—especially those from Hubei Province—it is imperative to obtain detailed information on their residential locations and whether they have been moving around. For employees not from Hubei, any updates on their movement patterns must be promptly reported to the Comprehensive Management Office of the industrial park. Additionally, a timely survey of the current residents in existing dormitories must be conducted. Entry of non-factory personnel into dormitories is strictly prohibited, as is organizing group meals.

II. Strengthen logistical support

The administrative and logistics department, staying true to their posts, procures compliant testing equipment and facilities, safety supplies (such as protective masks, thermometers, and disinfectant sprayers), and food through various channels. The company is using hydrogen peroxide and sodium hypochlorite to prepare disinfectants aimed at combating the novel coronavirus. The logistics department has prepared emergency isolation dormitories, stocked up on daily necessities, disinfectants, and ensured that utilities—water, electricity—are readily available. Additionally, they have set up designated disposal points for used masks in office areas, workshops, and residential zones.

III. Strengthen Employee Management

On February 3, the company provided protective masks to all employees who had returned to work and mandated that employees wear masks in public areas and adopt a staggered-meal system for dining. Meanwhile, security guards were equipped with forehead thermometers, ensuring that every employee must have their temperature checked before starting work. Any employee found to have a fever was immediately reported. All individuals entering the company premises and dormitories were required to undergo questioning and temperature checks; only those who passed the screening were allowed to enter. In addition, employees in the isolation zone were strictly managed—any employee under quarantine was strictly prohibited from leaving the isolation area.

4. Strengthen epidemic prevention publicity

The company has been educating employees on COVID-19 prevention and control measures through various channels, including posting epidemic notices, hanging banners, distributing promotional materials, using WeChat groups, handing out protective manuals, and displaying information on electronic screens. These efforts aim to widely disseminate preventive knowledge, raise awareness, boost confidence, and encourage employees to take proper self-protection measures, ensuring that every employee truly understands and internalizes the essential knowledge for epidemic prevention and control.

5. Company leaders focus on inspections and emphasize implementation.

To ensure that employee epidemic prevention remains under control after the company resumes operations and restarts production, and to prevent any widespread infectious outbreaks, the company has developed a contingency plan for the phased return of out-of-town employees to Yuyao, a scheme for setting up 14-day home isolation facilities for returning out-of-town employees, a plan for resuming enterprise production, and a plan for ensuring safe production within the company. All these measures are being rigorously implemented. Meanwhile, under the leadership of Chairman Chen Yin-hao and Secretary of the Board Yuan Shao-lan, the company is conducting inspections, providing supervision and ensuring the effective implementation of all epidemic prevention measures, as well as offering guidance on epidemic prevention efforts to prepare thoroughly for the resumption of work and production. Chairman Chen urged all departments to attach great importance to this task and to supervise employees in earnestly studying knowledge about the prevention and control of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus infection, thereby enhancing their personal protection awareness. Special attention should be paid to the personal protective measures for employees who have returned to work—such as wearing masks and having their temperatures checked—and to the registration of information for personnel returning to the factory. All prevention and control measures must be fully implemented, with strict and thorough adherence to epidemic prevention protocols. Personnel movement must be strictly monitored and recorded to ensure that the epidemic remains preventable and controllable.

How can individuals prevent novel coronavirus pneumonia?

1. Maintain hand hygiene. Wash your hands with running water, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, after coughing, before meals, after using the restroom, and after touching or handling animal feces.

2. Ensure good indoor air circulation. Avoid enclosed, poorly ventilated public spaces and crowded areas; when necessary, wear a mask.

3. When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your bent elbow to prevent droplet transmission. After sneezing, avoid rubbing your eyes or touching mucous membranes.

4. Good food safety practices: Use separate cutting boards and knives for raw and cooked foods, and ensure that meat and eggs are thoroughly cooked when preparing meals.
